Annie Denver, wife of entertainer John Denver, will chair Children's Home Society of Minnesota's "Night at the Pops" June 22 at Orchestra Hall, Minneapolis. The most ambitious special event in the 93 year history of the society will combine the annual meeting with a benefit featuring the music of Irving Berling and a semi-staged production from "Annie Get Your Gun." Proceeds will directly benefit the society's programs. An adoptive parent, Annie Denver is coordinating her volunteer activities with Carole Olson, North Oaks, chairwoman of the society's Special Events Committee. Serving as key volunteers for the event are David G. Colwell, Edina; Fran Hitchcock, Edina; Barbara Solomon Fischbein, St. Louis Park; Audrey Chantry, Afton; and Barbara Lambert, Burnsville. Orchestra Hall changes for "Pops." Main floor seats disappear and are replaced by cabaret seating for six, creating a more relaxed, casual atmosphere.
