                        Dustin Hoffman's Awards

Dustin Hoffman has been nominated for an Academy Award 6 times and has 
won the BEST ACTOR AWARD for....

       "Kramer vs. Kramer" - Co-star Meryl Streep
              (1979)

                 and
       
       "Rain Man" - co-star Tom Cruise
               (1988)


He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in "The Graduate"
(1967), "Midnight Cowboy" (1969), "Lenny" (1974), and "Tootsie" (1982).
Also movies in which he has appeared have won the Academy Award for Best
Picture.  It is my feeling that Dustin's performance catapults the movie
into a state of recognition, but he isn't always personally given the
credit for this.  One thing is for sure.  Whenever Dustin even appears in
a movie there are often Academy Award nominations in some category.
