I wanted to pass along this information reprinted from the Windstar Listserv: --------------------------------- Subj: JD's book is out Date: Fri, 07 Oct 1994 To: Windstar List From: chs@psulias.psu.edu I thought everyone would want to know that John Denver's autobiography is out on the bookstore shelves. I bought my copy last night for $22.00 at our local Walden bookstore. I had to ask the clerk for it, though, 'cause they only got *one* copy, and she had placed it on a separate cart and not in the Biography section! So if you don't see it, ask around, and *demand* your copy! Here's the official citation, in case they don't believe that it exists: John Denver with Arthur Tobier. TAKE ME HOME: AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY. New York: Harmony Books, 1994. ISBN 0-517-59537-0 I've only had enough time to read the introduction and the first chapter, so I can't offer much of a review. This hardback is 262 pages long and includes a discography and an index. There are two sections of black and white photos. The cover has a color photo of John with his guitar, and he's sans beard and mustache. Happy reading! I'll probably have the book done over the weekend! Corinne chs@psulias.psu.edu ------------------------------- A telephone campaign here in the Kansas City Metro Area reveals that the book is not yet available here. But check your bookstores! Apparently the official release date was in October rather than November. Emily
