JUST BEFORE THE LIGHT

Inspiration comes to me
Almost always in the night
In the quiet time of stillness
Just before the light

I wake up and all around
The stillness is at hand
Peace is there in sweet repose
All across the land

It's a time of quiet bliss
When something speaks to me
About a sweet forever land
Where I live happily

For in the quiet of the morn
When no one is around
Peace and joy and quiet
Contemplation can be found
