        Into the cold and rainy night
        We leave with a warmer spirit
        For John Denver gave a concert
        And we were there to hear it

        To the thousands of people gathered
        He sang and gave his love
        Singing of his hopes and dreams
        The things he's thinking of

        John Denver is phenomenal
        He leaves us with a glow
        It's more than just a concert;
        More than just a show

        He fills up all our senses
        With a special kind of caring
        Uniting us all together
        In a special kind of sharing

        So after a concert is over
        It feels like a brand new start
        For John's love lingers after
        Alive within each heart
