Of the moon and stars above
He sang a simple, country song
Of happiness, peace and love

His voice was a clear, sweet tenor
His heart was immense and true
If you're lucky perhaps he'll sing
A country song for you

For the Rocky Mountain Minstrel
Has a voice and the songs to inspire
My Rocky Mountain Minstrel's songs
Can take me higher, higher...

Into a pleasant paradise
Of Rocky Mountain peace
Where everything is wonderful
