John Denver and the CHAD MITCHELL TRIO ====================================== One of John's first big breaks was when he auditioned and was accepted to replace Chad Mitchell in the folk group "The Chad Mitchell Trio." Afterwards they called it "The Mitchell Trio." That was in 1965. John stayed with the group until it broke up. Later on he was in a group called "Denver, Boise and Johnson".
