In order for users of refreshable braille displays to be able to fully access electronic documents independently, these documents must be provided in a format that can be appropriately interpreted by screen readers and other access software. This applies to all types of documents, including memos, handouts, brochures, forms, textbooks, magazine and journal articles, and the informational contents of webpages.
